The Djarum Foundation's Sports Dedication program recognized PB Djarum athletes for their achievements throughout 2025 at national and international levels, with a total value of Rp512,700,000. These achievements include winning the 2025 PBSI National Championships in Women's Singles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, as well as having athletes ranked 15th and 39th by the BWF as of December 31, 2025. Appreciation was also given to 47 outstanding athletes from the 2025 U-17 and U-19 categories, and to Salsabila Zahra Aulia, the Best Performing PB Djarum Young Athlete of 2025.
PB Djarum team manager, Fung Permadi, believes that the outstanding achievements of the young athletes are concrete proof of the club's successful regeneration. The 2000 Olympian stated that PB Djarum proactively seeks and develops young talent from an early stage. According to Fung, talent is not something you wait for, but rather something that is intentionally built and developed thru intensive training and challenging competitions.
Seeing the courage and performance of the young athletes on the field, I am becoming even more confident in the training path we are following. They are not only ready to face domestic competition, but also have the capacity to compete on a global level. All of this is the result of disciplined training, regular evaluation, and their courage to age up during competitions. "We will continue to hone this foundation so that PB Djarum can continue to produce champions ready to shine on the world stage," said Fung.
PB Djarum achieved success at the 2025 National Championships thru the performances of its athletes. In the Women's Doubles Youth category, Salsabila Zahra Aulia/Adelia Nirul M secured the title after defeating Selsi Josika/Yasintha Ristyna Putri 21-18 and 21-10. Muhammad Nasrullah Al-Habsyi emerged as the champion in the Boys' Singles Youth category after defeating Denis Azzarya 21-17 and 21-19 in the final match. Meanwhile, Ikhsan Lintang Pramudya/Salsabila Zahra Aulia successfully became the Mixed Doubles Youth champions, winning dramatically thru a rubber game against Moses Andar Simanjuntak/Reya Azzahra Yulianti 21-23, 21-17, 21-13. PB Djarum also had an all-final in the Mixed Doubles sector, with Bobby Setiabudi/Melati Daeva Oktavianti successfully defeating Daniel Edgar Marvino/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 22-20, 18-21, 21-10.
"After PB Djarum successfully became the team and individual champion of the 2024 PBSI National Championships last year, this year we once again achieved a quite impressive individual performance. Salsabila Zahra Aulia is an athlete from our partner club, Istimewa Badminton Club (IBC) Yogyakarta, who continues to show positive progress in the doubles sector, both women's and mixed," Fung explained.
PB Djarum Men's Singles Coordinator, Leonard Holvy De Pauw, expressed appreciation for the hard work and consistency of PB Djarum athletes who were able to demonstrate outstanding performances at various levels of competition throughout 2025. According to him, this achievement reflects the continuous training process, from young athletes to those who have competed on the international stage, and is supported by the solid role of coaches and support teams.
Holvy believes that the quality and potential of PB Djarum athletes are now more evenly distributed across all sectors. Not only is the doubles sector continuing to demonstrate strength, but the singles sector is also beginning to show significant development. This annual award ceremony for outstanding athletes is expected to serve as motivation for achieving even higher levels of performance in the future.
We see a sharp increase in the quality of PB Djarum athletes in both national and international tournaments. Especially now, athletes are supported by competent support teams such as strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionists, and physiotherapists. We want them to be champions on the field thru performance, and champions off the field thru discipline, commitment, and high sportsmanship. "In the future, our challenge is to encourage athletes not to become complacent and to keep up the #ChampionSpirit," said Holvy.
PB Djarum women's doubles coach, Rudy Gunawan, believes that the achievements of Salsabila and other doubles athletes are inseparable from the continuous training process and the athletes' strong commitment to the coaching program. In addition, according to Rudy, what is equally important for athletes to possess is a champion's mentality and the will to keep improving. As a coach, he and his team continue to motivate the athletes to possess that element so they are ready to compete at both national and international levels.
Salsabila has a hardworking and never-give-up character, and she is also very clever at reading her opponents' game on the court. Playing in two events is not easy, but he was able to maintain focus and discipline. We always encourage athletes to be brave in competition and not be afraid to face more senior players. This process isn't instant, but the results are starting to show. Our job as coaches is to maintain consistency and prepare athletes to compete at a higher level. Finally, at the Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2026, PB Djarum representative Febi Setianingrum also reached the semi-finals in women's doubles," he added.
Salsabila Zahra Aulia was named the most outstanding young athlete of PB Djarum in 2025 thanks to her success in winning three titles at the Sirnas A (mixed doubles and women's doubles), Sirnas C (mixed doubles), Sirnas Polytron Muria Cup (women's doubles), Sirnas Premier (mixed doubles), and two titles at the 2025 PBSI National Championships (mixed doubles and women's doubles). This award serves as a momentum to further focus on practicing, honing skills, and provides its own motivation to give the best for Indonesia.
"I am very grateful and did not expect to receive this award and be chosen as the best performing athlete of 2025. This award motivates me to continue growing and not be complacent with the results I have achieved." The key to victory lies in hard work and practice. Thank you to the coaching staff at my former club, IBC Yogyakarta, and to my family for their unwavering support until now. In the future, I want to continue improving my performance and aim for higher achievements at the international level," said Salsa.
In line with this, Muhammad Nashrulloh Al-Habsyi mentioned that the recognition and bonus from PB Djarum were a source of personal pride for him. This is a testament to the hard work of the coaches and the team. In 2025, Ethiopia successfully won six Sirnas A titles in the boys' doubles and mixed doubles junior categories, the Kapolri Cup (mixed doubles junior), the Yonex Sunrise Jaya Raya Junior International Grand Prix 2025 (boys' doubles junior), and the BAT Yonex Pathumthani Junior International Series (boys' doubles junior).
This award from PB Djarum is a very meaningful form of appreciation for me, and it also serves as a great motivation to continue showing my best. Thank you for the appreciation from the Djarum Foundation's Sports Service and the attention from the PB Djarum team, which has brought me to this point. My next target is to perform at my best in the national selection and join the national training camp," said the 2018 PB Djarum General Audition graduate.
Thru the 2025 Outstanding Athlete Award, PB Djarum reaffirms its commitment to continue producing highly competitive athletes and strengthening its contribution to the development of badminton in the country.
