The MilkLife Soccer Challenge Bandung & Yogyakarta Series 2 2025 - 2026 was successfully held and produced new champions. SDN 035 Soka (KU 10) and SDN 036 Ujungberung (KU 12) successfully secured the champion title in Bandung. Meanwhile, in Yogyakarta, SDN Nglarang (KU 10) as the debut team and SD Muhammadiyah Sapen (KU 12) emerged as the winners in Yogyakarta.
MilkLife Soccer Challenge Head Coach, Timo Scheunemann, stated that the emergence of a new champion is inseparable from the results of the players' intensive training, both at school and in football academies, as well as their motivation to achieve maximum results. Thus, their quality continues to improve and the competitive atmosphere becomes increasingly palpable throughout the tournament.
"We can see that this championship result proves they are practicing more regularly, they have a desire not to lose and to achieve better results than in the previous series. They also now have a better understanding of positioning and ball control." This certainly brings a breath of fresh air in terms of the competitive climate. "Competition in each series is actually getting fiercer, and the champion is not dominated by just one team," said Timo.
This UEFA A Pro licensed coach in Cologne, Germany since 2007, is quite impressed with the improvement in performance of the MLSC Bandung 2025-2026 participants, who are considered to have great potential in terms of quality. This makes him optimistic that the team that will strengthen All-Stars Bandung at the MLSC All-Stars 2025-2026 will achieve better results than the previous year, which only reached the group stage.
Based on the results of the MLSC Bandung Series 2 2025-2026, All-Star Bandung is one of the teams with a chance to win. But I need to see it first and gather the players we've chosen, we'll compare them. Because they played with less-than-good players in the previous MLSC All-Stars. Later, when they're gathered with reasonably good players, we'll choose again," said Timo.
After two series of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge were successfully held across all host cities, the program will conclude with the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars, which will bring together the best talents from each city, curated throughout the tournament and undergoing intensive training at MilkLife Soccer Extra Training.
There is a difference in the match format for the MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025 – 2026, which previously was 7 vs 7 and is now 9 vs 9. The MilkLife Soccer Challenge All-Stars 2025 – 2026 is scheduled to be held in June 2026 at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus, Central Java. They will represent their respective cities to compete for the championship podium.
Meanwhile, Dian Nadia Mutiara, Assistant Coach of the Indonesian Women's National Team U-17 in 2025, believes that the MilkLife Soccer Challenge series is very important for the development and nurturing of young female footballers, starting from the U-8, U-10, and U-12 age groups. According to him, this tournament, initiated by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife, serves as a talent pool for future players of the women's national team.
From this tournament, potential football talents are emerging. So, this competition is very helpful for the coaching staff of the Indonesian national team to find new potential that will become the next generation of national team players. "We saw they were very enthusiastic and quite proficient in the basic techniques of playing ball," said Dian.
