Winning 16 Titles, PB Djarum is the Overall Champion

PB Djarum successfully won the overall championship title at the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025, held at the Djarum Jati Sports Hall in Kudus, Central Java from November 11th to 16th, 2025. This success was achieved after securing the top podium spot in 16 out of the 23 events contested.

Polytron Commercial Director, Tekno Wibowo, congratulated the winners of the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025. It is hoped that this tournament, initiated by the Djarum Foundation's Sports Service, Polytron, and PBSI, will serve as a motivational boost for athletes to achieve greater success at higher levels.

"Through the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025, we want to continue the spirit of Central Java, the spirit of togetherness, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Hopefully, thru this tournament, that spirit will be maintained. "Our support for this tournament is not just a form of participation, but a real manifestation of our commitment to continue to be present, support, and grow together with the people of Central Java," said Tekno.

The Chairman of the Central Java PBSI Provincial Management, Basri Yusuf, warmly welcomed the successful organization of the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025. He hoped that the competition experience and national points earned by the athletes in this tournament would serve as a foundation for their future success as professional athletes who will one day bring glory to the nation on the world stage.

Alhamdulillah, the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025 was held smoothly and was very exciting to watch because the competition for the championship title was very close. We congratulate PB Djarum for successfully becoming the overall champion, as well as all the athletes who competed with all their might throughout the tournament. We also extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the PP PBSI and all sponsors who have supported the organization of this championship. "Long live Indonesian badminton," said Basri.

PB Djarum Deputy Manager, Leonard Holvy De Pauw, appreciated the spirit and fighting spirit of the 115 PB Djarum athletes in various sectors who competed in the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025. In the final match, PB Djarum successfully placed 26 representatives in 17 out of the 23 events contested. According to him, this tournament is the right platform for young athletes, especially at the grassroots level, to gain more match experience before entering tournaments with tougher competition.

"We have indeed prepared the athletes to play all out at the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025, both physically, technically, strategically, and mentally. Because as the host, the target is of course to become the overall champion. Although some of our U-19 players didn't participate because they were competing in the Indonesia International Challenge 2025, we still have many top athletes in other age groups," said Holvy.

He added that beside being the overall champion, another target is to increase national points as capital for competing in the upcoming Sirnas Premier and PBSI National Championships 2025. In addition, Holvy and the coaching staff also want to monitor the progress of the PB Djarum General Audition graduates. "Because the requirement to play in the Sirnas Premier is to be in the top 35 and the PBSI National Championships for the top 20 players. So, this tournament is not only to earn national points but also serves as one of our selection criteria for sending players to upcoming tournaments. Meanwhile, the results of the athletes who have just joined PB Djarum are also far better than our expectations," added Holvy.

One of the athletes who successfully became the champion of the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025 is Syadza Bella Zerlinda Jagadita. This graduate of the PB Djarum 2024 General Audition won the Girls' Singles U-13 category after defeating her clubmate, Syauqia Aisya Inara, a graduate of the PB Djarum 2025 General Audition, in a final match that went down to the wire. Despite falling behind and getting tired in the deciding game, Bella managed to bounce back and turn the tables thanks to her focus and composure throughout the match, securing the victory with a final score of 17-21, 21-6, 24-22.

"I'm so happy to have won the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas 2025, because the match in the final was really tough. I lost the first game and fell behind in the third, and I felt really tired, but I tried not to die alone, stayed focused, and played calmly. "I almost gave up earlier because I was tired and out of breath, but I remembered my coach's message to not panic and not give away free points," said Bella.

In the final match, Bella also showed mental maturity as a young athlete who continues to develop. He admitted that this tournament taught him many valuable lessons about how to stay focused and control the game. From this match, I know that I still tend to make mistakes on my own, especially at the beginning of the game. So, in the future, we need to be more patient and more prepared from the first game. "Hopefully, I can participate in the Sirnas again next year and achieve more success until I can get into the national training center," he said.

Meanwhile, the star player from PB Cahaya Lumajang, Ahza Catur Anugrah, successfully achieved his first major accomplishment in a national-level tournament by winning the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025. He achieved this success by causing an upset, winning the U-15 Boys' Singles final against the top seed, Rafi Qabilah Fathurrahman from PB Taqi Arena Badminton Academy. Catur ended Rafi's tough resistance after 57 minutes and secured the championship title thru a three-game drama of 19-21, 21-17, 21-16.

It feels incredibly good to be able to win at a national-level tournament like the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025. Previously, I often experienced failures in other tournaments, and this is the first time I've been able to win at the national level. I am grateful that this achievement is thanks to the prayers and support of my family, who have always been there for me. "In the final, I was a bit tense because my opponent is often the champion, but I tried to be patient, play calmly, and not waste any balls," said Catur.

For this 14-year-old athlete, winning the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025 is the result of consistent training, self-evaluation, and an unwavering spirit. He admitted that he always tries to improve from the mistakes of every match. His success is not only a source of personal pride, but also brings the name of PB Cahaya Lumajang to greater recognition on the national stage. This young athlete, who idolizes Jonatan Christie, also hopes his performance will be the start of a long journey toward bigger dreams.

"I want to keep improving, get into the national training camp, and then one day become a world champion." "I also dedicate this victory to my parents and the Cahaya Lumajang club. They have always supported me, and I hope this victory can make our club more well-known in Indonesia," he said.

Followed by 1,238 athletes from various regions in Indonesia, the Polytron Muria Cup Sirnas C 2025 will award 23 championship titles. At this national private championship, badminton players not only competed for a total prize of Rp636 million but also earned national ranking points as a foundation for competing at higher championship levels.
