Win a Super Ticket, 50 Young Athletes Enter Quarantine at PB Djarum Dormitory

A total of 50 young badminton players successfully earned Super Tickets for the PB Djarum 2025 General Audition in the final round of the tournament held at the Djarum Sports Hall, Jati, Kudus, Central Java, on Friday (September 12th). They consist of 18 winners from the competition rounds and 32 young athletes selected by the Talent Search Team. Next, the participants will undergo a four-week quarantine period until they finally receive the Djarum Badminton Scholarship from the Djarum Foundation's Sports Service and become fostered athletes of PB Djarum.

Program Director of Djarum Foundation's Sports Bakti and also Chairman of PB Djarum, Yoppy Rosimin, congratulated the athletes who had diligently showcased their talent and abilities, earning Super Tickets and advancing to the quarantine stage. He advised that each participant must quickly adapt to life at the PB Djarum dormitory and the training patterns that have been prepared.

"The Super Ticket is not a sign that the struggle is over, but rather the first step for the participants to showcase their true abilities, mentality, and character to the PB Djarum coaches." Therefore, make the most of this opportunity. For athletes who haven't yet obtained a Super Ticket, don't give up. There are still many opportunities to join PB Djarum. Keep practicing, hone your talents and abilities," said Yoppy.

Meanwhile, the head of the PB Djarum General Audition Talent Search Team, Sigit Budiarto, stated that the 50 participants of the PB Djarum General Audition 2025 who qualified for the quarantine round were the result of observations by PB Djarum legends and coaches during the five days of selection. He hopes that the young athletes will consistently show their best performance during quarantine until they are finally selected to join PB Djarum.

"Consistency is important because to join PB Djarum, participants must meet the standards we set, including having good basic badminton techniques, physical strength, health, body posture, mentality, and character while in the dormitory and following the training program," said the 1997 World Champion in the men's doubles category.

One of the participants who won a Super Ticket in the Tournament category is Kadek Devandra Amertha, who is in the U-12 age group. This young man from Badung, Bali, said he was happy to win the Super Ticket and qualify for the quarantine round. This success was achieved by Devandra after defeating Raynard Foster Taygen from Medan with scores of 21-13 and 21-18. The attractive gameplay and Devendra's tenacity in accumulating points one by one led him to win the match.

"I'm definitely very happy because this is the first time I've participated in the PB Djarum General Audition and I got a Super Ticket, which makes my parents proud. I'm ready to go to the quarantine round." Being far from my parents is a bit sad, but I'm determined to join PB Djarum," he said.

Lain Devandra, lain pula cerita dari Nagita Nadila Posumah. This athlete, built by PB Naushad Kota Manado, was eliminated in the round of 32 in the U-11 Girls category. Thanks to the sharp eyes of the Talent Scout team, who noticed Nagita's performance while she was in the middle of the arena, Nagita received the Talent Scout team's Super Ticket. He also prepared to enter the quarantine phase.

When I lost the match yesterday, I was already accepting of it. Mama also said I can still participate next year. Turns out, I was chosen by the talent scouting team to participate in the quarantine. "It feels so good, my dream of joining PB Djarum is getting closer," said Nagita, who idolizes Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.

Getting thru quarantine made Nagita's mother, Henny Anny Kaunang, feel at peace about being temporarily separated from her child. "It's definitely sad to be separated from your child. But as a parent, I support my child's desire to pursue their dreams. "Hopefully, Nagita can pass the quarantine stage and join PB Djarum, and become an athlete who can bring pride to Indonesia," said her mother.
