Achieving Victory, SDN Tulungrejo 02 Surpasses Series 1 Achievements

Meanwhile, in the KU 10 category final, SDN Tulungrejo 02 managed to defeat SDN Tunjungsekar 3 with a score of 3-1. The victory of SDN Tulungrejo 02 was determined by a goal from Azzahra Nur Fitria Umayra in the 11th minute, along with two additional goals from Kholifah Nur Avilia in the 17th and 27th minutes. Meanwhile, the only consolation goal for SDN Tunjungsekar 3 was scored by Jingga Meutia Ardhanareswari in the 13th minute.

This championship title is a reward for the hard work and ambition to win the tournament initiated by the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife. Previously, in Series 1, SDN Tulungrejo 02 could only reach the quarter-finals.

The coach of SDN Tulungrejo 02, Tri Cahyo Suseno, expressed gratitude for his team's success in winning the championship at the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Malang Series 2 2025-2026. He believes that the result was due to the team's evaluation and improvement before the tournament. According to him, the mental readiness of the players is an important factor in the final match, in addition to improvements in basic technical aspects and set pieces.

"Alhamdulillah, this year we were able to win in Series 2 after only reaching the top eight in Series 1. We kept training to improve in Series 2, and the results were maximized." The kids were also in a good mood during the final and managed to win 3-1 against Tunjungsekar. There weren't any special preparations, just focusing on the children's mentality who played, and during the game, to improve the children's mood even more. As for physical fitness, fortunately, the children in our area are from highlands, so their physical condition is already good, we just need to work on their mental aspect," said Tri.

The Ecosystem of Women's Football is Becoming More Established

The organization of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Malang Series 2 2025 - 2026 was attended by 2,161 participants. This number increased compared to Series 1, which had 1,918 participants. The increase in the number of participants also automatically raised the number of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and Elementary Schools participating from 120 to 122 schools. The KU 10 teams increased from 64 to 82 teams, as did the number of KU 12 teams, which rose from 111 to 116.

Member of the PSSI Executive Committee for Competitions in Malang City, Rochman Hadi, welcomed the organization of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge in Malang, which is now entering its second year. According to Rochman, this is good news for the development of the women's football ecosystem in Malang and its surroundings, which plays an important role in opening up training opportunities and expanding chances for female players to develop.

"We from PSSI are very grateful because for the second year, the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is being held again in Malang." We are also proud because there is a representative from Malang City who managed to become the champion. Our hope is that next year MLSC can return to Malang to further boost the enthusiasm for women's football in this region. Hopefully, more women's football competitions will be held in Malang because this will serve as one of the barometers in the process of nurturing and scouting potential female players," said Rochman.

Program Director of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, Teddy Tjahjono, believes that the increase in the number of participants is influenced by the public's trust in the consistency of the tournament's organization. He believes that the public sees a long-term commitment from the organizers in developing early childhood girls' soccer.

"The enthusiasm of the participants has increased because the community sees our seriousness in organizing this tournament, both in Malang and in other cities." So they definitely see our very serious commitment that the organization of this tournament will continue to be consistent and sustainable. Perhaps based on that, the community prepares themselves and participates. So automatically, the number of participants will also increase. "This trend is also happening in other cities," he said. In addition, Teddy also added that with the increasing number of potential players emerging from the Malang area and its surroundings, the All-Stars team from Malang has the potential to be a dark horse in the MilkLife Soccer Challenger All-Stars that will take place in Kudus next month.

"Seeing the enthusiasm and seriousness of the team in training, as well as the noticeable improvement in quality, the All-Stars Malang team cannot be underestimated." Malang could very well be like All Stars Solo in last year's event, becoming the dark horse. We'll just have to see later what the training patterns and mental readiness of the All Stars Malang players are like. Actually, if we look at cities with a strong football history since the era of the Perserikatan, they indeed show extraordinary enthusiasm. So in terms of quality, it's also good," said Teddy.

Head Coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, Timo Scheunemann, believes that Malang's strength lies in the interconnected and closely situated support from Malang Regency, Malang City, to Batu City. He is optimistic that the high enthusiasm of the schools will encourage more sustainable development.

"In Malang Raya, there are districts, there are cities, and there is also Batu City." So, I really appreciate the enthusiasm of the schools. Then I see that in the future, schools will be more serious about training continuously. If that happens, talented players will emerge. And if there are talented players, they will definitely look for SSB. Now, if we are talking about SSB, serious and talented players will look for SSB, then our football ecosystem will grow," said Timo.

In addition, the increase in the number of participants is also due to the commitment of the Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation and MilkLife in scouting potential talents in Malang Raya.

"Previously, we also scouted players whom we consider to be potential and talented, we visited their schools, ensuring that their schools would participate." Including those who competed in the KU 12 final, namely Adelice, who will likely strengthen Malang's All-Star team," concluded Timo.
