SDN Pakulonan 02 and SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04 are the New Champions

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Tangerang Series 1 2025 - 2026 was successfully held for six days, from September 2nd to 7th, 2025, at the Trimatra Field of the TNI Training and Education Command and the Cisauk Mini Stadium. In the final match held on Sunday (September 7th), the KU 12 team from SDN Pakulonan 02 successfully became the champion after a penalty shootout with British School Jakarta. Meanwhile, the KU 10 team from SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04 emerged victorious after a fierce battle against SDN Penjaringan 06, winning by a narrow score of 1-0.

The KU 12 final match between SDN Pakulonan 02 and British School Jakarta (BSJ) was intense. From the start of the first half, both teams were already pushing hard, showing their aggressiveness to break thru the opponent's defense. SDN Pakulonan 02 played confidently with their short passes, while BSJ impressed with acrobatic movements during throw-ins and well-organized attack schemes. Unfortunately, both teams also failed to convert into goals. Fifteen minutes after the score remained 0-0.

After the halftime break, the exchange of attacks between the two teams became even more intense. Gweneira Casadevall Prithayanti and her teammates continued to apply pressure with their powerful shots toward the goal of SDN Pakulonan 02, but the skill of goalkeeper Fatimah Azzahra successfully defended her goal against the onslaught from BSJ. SDN Pakulonan 02's counterattacks, even reaching the goalmouth, were also thwarted by the BSJ goalkeeper. The scoreless draw persisted until the final whistle of the second half sounded. As a result, a penalty shootout drama unfolded in the KU 12 final.

SDN Pakulonan 02 secured their victory after collecting three consecutive points scored by Chalista Naura Chelsea, Nabila Nur Rabbani, and Fatimah Azzahra. Meanwhile, BSJ had to settle for the runner-up position because the second kicker, Yi Luo (Luoyi), failed to capitalize on the opportunity as the ball sailed far to the right of SDN Pakulonan 02's goal.

The coach of SDN Pakulonan 02, Marpudin, revealed that this victory was a long-awaited one for his team, as they had failed in the previous two series of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Tangerang, only reaching the preliminary or knockout stages. The key to his team's victory was maintaining composure and applying tight pressure on the opponent.

"We've been preparing since last year because we failed twice in the previous MLSC Tangerang series, and finally, we're champions now." "We practice quite intensely at SSB Pinang Selection three times a week, and we also often spar with BSJ, so we know their strengths and weaknesses quite well," said Marpudin.

Similarly, the goalkeeper of SDN Pakulonan 02, Fatimah Azzahra, said she was happy to be the one who secured her team's victory, even tho she had only been training as a goalkeeper for three months. "I'm so happy to win. My friends and I have been practicing a lot at the football school. We were confident we could win and weren't nervous at all because we had studied the opponents' strengths and weaknesses with the coach beforehand," explained Fatimah, who was previously a striker at SDN Pakulonan 02.

Meanwhile, in KU 10, SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04 secured the championship after a hard-fought victory over SDN Penjaringan 06. The nimble actions of Raissa Cinta Anindita and her team were enough to overwhelm SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04. However, the agile actions of goalkeeper Titi Nurhaliza were still able to secure the goal for SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04. In the 6th minute, the deadlock was finally broken after Aprilia Natasya passed to Meysah Kholifah Handayani, who executed it well with a powerful lob from outside the penalty box that the opposing goalkeeper failed to save. The 1-0 lead for SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04 held until halftime.

Entering the second half, SDN Penjaringan 06 attempted to dominate the game, directly targeting the opponent's defensive line. The chaos in front of the goal was also unavoidable. However, once again, the solid performance of the players from SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04 successfully thwarted the maneuvers of SDN Penjaringan 06. As a result, Meysah and her teammates were able to maintain their 1-0 lead until the final whistle blew.

This victory is celebrated by Meysah Kholifah Handayani because she successfully became the sole goalscorer in the final round of the MLSC Tangerang Series 1 2025-2026 U10 category, and also the determinant of victory for her team. We're so happy we could win, and we didn't expect to score either. Of course, throughout the match, we kept communicating, and the coach also gave instructions to play even more bravely," said the student who dreams of joining the national team.

The coach of SDN Pondok Kacang Timur 04, Ichsan Purwa, admitted he was proud to see his students' efforts leading them to victory despite the short preparation time. "I'm grateful the children played well and enjoyed themselves, even tho we only had about five months to prepare. We were indeed aiming for the championship. "Hopefully we can maintain this achievement in the next series," explained Ichsan.

The Atmosphere of the Competition is Becoming More Competitive

The quantity and quality of the girls from Benteng City show a positive trend in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Tangerang Series 1 2025 - 2026 event. This time, 1,301 female students from 68 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary Schools (SD) in and around Tangerang participated in the women's football tournament initiated by the Djarum Foundation's Bakti Olahraga program and MilkLife. They were divided into 87 U-12 teams and 35 U-10 teams to showcase their skills with the 'round leather' and compete for the best title in this series.

MLSC Tangerang is always exciting to watch. Because in addition to the presence of international schools from the second series of the 2024 event, which makes the match atmosphere hotter, there are always surprises in every series. As in this series, the champions in both the KU 10 and KU 12 categories are new champions. This means the competition is quite tight and not dominated by just one or two schools," emphasized Satia Chandra Wiguna, Representative of Djarum Foundation's Sports Bakti.

In line with this, the Head Coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Tangerang, Leonardo Sedubun, stated that player regeneration is becoming increasingly evident in the MLSC event in Tangerang. The KU 10 athletes who have now moved up to KU 12 have shown a significant improvement in quality. Meanwhile, in KU 10, there were many new faces, the result of promotions from students from each school who previously participated in the KU 8 SenengSoccer Festival. Thru close monitoring, Leo has currently identified several players who are on the talent scouting radar.

"We are currently monitoring approximately 60 children, and 40% of them are new players." Later, we will select again until the best 25 players are chosen. The newcomers are also quite formidable, as the participants' abilities are now more evenly matched and not dominated by just one or two schools. "So the competition felt so intense from the first day until the final," Leo said.

The Secretary of the Tangerang Regency Education Office, Agus Supriatna, believes that the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is a positive means for character development in female students thru sports. It is hoped that the involvement of teachers in every school will be able to encourage the interest of students, especially female students, in regularly participating in the KU 10 and KU 12 football tournaments.

"This is certainly a momentum for the Education Department to encourage schools to participate in order to foster achievement and make children healthier both physically and mentally in participating in this competition. We are also involving sports teachers to attend socialization and coaching clinics so that they will continue to increase children's interest in participating in the Milklife Soccer Challenge tournament," said Agus.

Indonesia's Deputy Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPPA), Veronica Tan, also witnessed the final day of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Tangerang Series 1 2025 - 2026 live at the Trimatra Field of the TNI Training and Education Command (Kodiklat TNI) on Sunday (September 7). Beside wanting to support the young female football players, he admitted he wanted to witness firsthand the unique actions of two players from the U-12 team of British School Jakarta, Gweneira Casadevall Prithayanti and Elena Hamilton, who perform acrobatic somersaults when throwing the ball in (throw in).
