Dominant Performance, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 Wins KU 10 and KU 12 Championships

The MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) Surabaya Series 1 2025 - 2026 was successfully held for five days from August 19 - 24, 2025, at Brawijaya Stadium and Bogowonto Stadium. In the final match held on Sunday (August 24th), the KU 12 team from SDN Kalirungkut I/264 successfully defended their championship title after defeating SDN Manukan Kulon II/499 B with a final score of 4-1. Meanwhile, the KU 10 team from SDN Kalirungkut I/264 emerged victorious after a fierce battle against SDN Ngagel Rejo I/396.

From the center of the field, the final match of the 2025-2026 Series 1 KU 12 MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya, featuring SDN Kalirungkut I/264 versus SDN Manukan Kulon II/499, was intense from the first-half kickoff. The captain of SDN Kalirungkut I/264, Bellamy Nabilla Ariellaputri, immediately led the attack on the heart of SDN Manukan Kulon II/499's defense. The glasses score didn't last long. In the 3rd minute, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 forward Jenifer Charolina Besi was able to shoot the ball from the middle of the field, which went straight into the opponent's goal. That 1-0 lead instantly boosted the motivation of Bellamy and his teammates to continue chipping away at the defense of SDN Manukan Kulon II/499.

The back-and-forth attacks continued, with both teams playing aggressively to win the ball. Frequent turnovers often result in dead balls. Nevertheless, the defender from SDN Kalirungkut I/264 did not allow the ball handled by the SDN Manukan Kulon II/499 B squad to pass thru the dangerous zone. The deadlock was broken again when the ball, assisted by the forward of SDN Kalirungkut I/264, Cataleya Judith Melandre, in the 9th minute in front of the goal, was met with a beautiful shot by Jenifer, going low and leaving goalkeeper Syahrotus Sita with no time to catch it. Jennifer's brace gave them a 2-0 lead that held until halftime.

Entering the second 15 minutes, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 once again maintained possession of the ball and created several opportunities. But SDN Manukan Kulon II/499 was no less aggressive in maneuvering to open up opportunities. That effort also yielded a point in the 19th minute, executed by Chalysta Rizky Aprilia. The score changed to 2-1 early in the second half. Approaching the end of the half, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 successfully extended their lead thru a throw-in scheme executed by Bellamy. Two additional goals in the second half were scored due to a blunderous header from the opposing defender who met the throw. Instead of keeping the ball away from the goal, the defender's clearance attempt for SDN Manukan Kulon II/499 actually made the scoreboard read 4-1. The advantage for SDN Kalirungkut I/264 held until referee Abdul Aziz Sugesti blew the final whistle.

This victory for the KU-12 team from SDN Kalirungkut I/264 adds to their impressive record in participating in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya Series 1 2025 - 2026. At the Milklife Soccer Challenge Surabaya 2025 last February, the team coached by Raedi Januar also took the top spot in a dramatic 3-1 penalty shootout against SD Al Islah.

A tense match and finally we won. Especially since the opposing team has two good players, and that's the big challenge. But I told my friends to play calmly, not panic when passing the ball, and shoot accurately. "I'm grateful to finally be champions again at MLSC," said Bellamy.

The success of the KU 12 team from SDN Kalirungkut I/264 was also followed by the first victory of their KU 10 team. In the final KU 10 match, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 successfully scored four goals without reply against SDN Ngagel Rejo I/396. It was Olivia Okta Maharani, a midfielder for SDN Kalirungkut I/264, who opened the scoring after taking advantage of a throw-in by Agnia Nurul Fadhila Rohmah from the sideline. Olivia, who was closely marked by players from SDN Ngagel Rejo in front of the goal, successfully executed a light tap and scored the goal in the first minute.

Less than a minute later, Agnia scored a goal from a free kick that flew into the net unnoticed by Aerelyn Belvania Ardianto, the goalkeeper. The 2-0 lead added to the excitement of the final match atmosphere. The back-and-forth attacks continued in the remaining minutes of the first half. SDN Kalirungkut I/264 often pressed in the danger zone and disrupted the defense of SDN Ngagel Rejo I/396. The counterattack led by Atsilah Dhia Syarafana was still broken down into dead balls.

Several opportunities were created for both teams, but unfortunately, they were still unable to convert them into goals. This condition made the match closely contested. The deadlock was broken again by Agnia, who managed to score a goal with a direct shot from the right side of the field, right into the opponent's net. The scoreboard changed to 3-0 by the end of the first half.

After halftime, SDN Kalirungkut I/264 increased their motivation to launch a relentless attack in order to widen their lead. Agnia scored a hat-trick after being awarded a free kick from midfield. The ball, kicked with his right foot, was able to dip directly toward the goal without the opposing goalkeeper being able to read it. After extending their lead to 4-0, SDN Kalirungku and continued to strengthen their defense until the end of the second half.

This victory is the first for the KU-10 team of SDN Kalirungkut I/264. At the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya 2025, they had to settle for the runner-up position. Our hard work and training paid off in this final round because we were finally able to bring home the KU 10 championship trophy. The match was tiring but exciting because we had never played against the SDN Ngagel Rejo I/396 team before, so we were nervous about how we would play against them," said Agnia, who won the Best Player title in the U-10 category.

Increased Quantity of Surabaya Princesses Aligns with Quality

The quantity and quality of the daughters of the City of Heroes show a positive trend in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya Series 1 2025 - 2026 event. This time, 1,662 female students from 79 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary Schools (SD) in Surabaya and surrounding areas participated in the women's soccer tournament initiated by the Djarum Foundation's Sports Bakti and MilkLife. They were divided into 88 U-12 teams and 64 U-10 teams to showcase their skills with the 'round leather' and compete for the best title in this series.

The Head of the Surabaya City Education Department, Yusuf Masruh, fully supports the organization of the MLSC Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026. He believes that sports like football also influence the development of the students' talents. Therefore, Yusuf hopes that in the next event, the enthusiasm of the participants will increase, matched by the quality on the field.

This is appreciation for the female students of Surabaya, and hopefully, it can continue because the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is also one way to develop the talents of female students. The hope is that from today they can share their experiences of participating in the tournament so that they can be emulated and have a positive impact on other schools. "We will continue to socialize talent development programs like this so that schools that want to participate can prepare themselves," said Yusuf Masruh.

The head coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya, Sai Dong, stated that the quality of the participants in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026 has improved, both as teams and individually. This is considered a breath of fresh air for the talent scouting team to develop the technical and mental abilities of the athletes in the MilkLife Extra Training program. There are 21 new names recorded that meet the criteria to participate in the training.

"Besides enthusiasm, the participants' abilities also showed very good progress because most of them likely already joined football academies. I think the MilkLife Soccer Challenge has a very strong impact on the Indonesian women's football ecosystem, from introducing the world of football at a very young age in the U-8 category to organizing tiered and sustainable tournaments. "Ball-playing technique, speed, fighting spirit, the ability to position oneself, and responsibility are the criteria for evaluating whether a participant can be considered by the talent scouting team," explained Coach Sai Dong.

Program Manager of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, Edi Supriyanto, stated that the organization of the MLSC Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026 is a commitment to continuously nurture the growth of the women's football ecosystem in a tiered and sustainable manner. Not only for the early childhood age group, Edi added that the HYDROPLUS Soccer League U-14, which was previously only held in Kudus, Central Java, is also planned to be held in Surabaya, as a platform for the development of girls who have honed their skills in soccer schools. This is due to the large number of soccer schools in Surabaya that have opened classes for girls.

The spirit of the girls in Surabaya is burning bright to compete in the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, and so is the support from parents and schools. We hope this can spread to other cities, so the wheels of the women's football ecosystem continue to turn and produce athletes who will eventually bring glory to Indonesia on the world stage. To further improve the quality of these young female soccer players' abilities, we plan to organize an inter-soccer school league in Surabaya, namely the HYDROPLUS Soccer League U-14, so that the ecosystem for female soccer development also progresses to the next level," said Edi Supriyanto.

At the MLSC Surabaya Series 1 2025-2026, there are five football academies that are directly open for registration for participants, namely Meta Football, Bina Yunior Surabaya FC, Haggana FC Surabaya, Bintang Derma FC, and Satria Muda Dewi.
